Circus Polychaetes Abstractions
These prints are a sampling from a series
on a circus theme. They were inspired by an old book from the 50s which
instructed childen on how to make a paper circus on a rainy day. They are made
with traditional etching plates, and the color is added by cutting thin pieces
of vibrantly colored paper, a process called “chine colle” (a French term for
glued Chinese paper, pronounced sheen
collay).
